Two of our Owen C4E interns, Kayla Sallenger and Andrea Valladares, had the pleasure of attending the Renaissance Women’s Summit on February 25, 2023, at Vanderbilt University’s Wond’ry Center for Innovation and Design. The summit was organized with the aim of creating a supportive and empowering community for women entrepreneurs, with the goal of providing equal opportunities to start and grow their own businesses. The event was hosted by Sydney Dozier, founder of Renaissance Marketing Group, Hillary Gadsby and Wendi Boyden, founders of Boss Talks.
Renaissance Marketing Group is a reputable social media agency based in Nashville. With over 8 years of experience in the industry, Dozier has built a team of social media experts and creatives that deliver proven results for their diverse roster of clients. Dozier is also the co-host of the Renaissance Podcast and the founder of the Mona Lisa Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports women in Nashville on their entrepreneurial journeys.
Boss Talks is a worldwide initiative aimed at enhancing women’s economic impact across the globe. This movement functions as a mentorship platform, supporting women entrepreneurs and business leaders globally to break free from isolation and advance their businesses and careers. Boss Talks provides an all-encompassing support system that includes mentorship, business and social connections, and community backing to help women reach their full income potential and succeed in their careers and businesses.
The summit brought together women entrepreneurs from all over the country and included inspiring keynote speakers, informative panels, and networking opportunities. The event provided attendees with the tools and connections they need to succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavors.

The Wond’ry center for innovation and design at Vanderbilt University was a fitting venue for this gathering. The center provides students, faculty, staff, and community members with access to maker spaces, virtual reality labs, workshops, and programs designed to support anyone from budding entrepreneurs to community change makers.
The Renaissance Women’s Summit was a remarkable event that provided a platform for women entrepreneurs to learn, network, and be inspired. Attendees gained valuable insights, resources, and connections that can help them succeed in their entrepreneurial pursuits.
