Mentor Expectations

As a mentor, you can expect that:

1. The C4E will provide you a summary of the opportunity to seek your approval before providing an introduction to the founder.
2. The C4E will have prepared the founder & startup to make the most use of your time.
3. Founders will be responsive to your emails and show up to meetings
4. Founders will not ask you for capital (you can offer)
5. Founders will not ask you to make introductions from your network (you can offer
6. Be compensated for the value of your time, advice and contacts after a certain number of pro bono meetings (suggestion is after 4 meetings)

As a mentor, we expect that you will:

1. Declare any conflicts you have with startups presented to you.
2. Not rip off business ideas, customers, or other proprietary information from founders you advise.
3. Not ask for predatory advisory share amounts that will hurt the startups chance.
4. Not use the Advisory Network as lead generation for products or services your business sells.
